Lookout Road Reconstruction

The highly anticipated Lookout Road reconstruction and widening project is underway.  Crews began preliminary work in late July on the drainage and utility portions of the project.  Starting in late August, crews began work on Lookout Road itself, with the first phase of the project stretching from Schertz Parkway to Jordan Road.  Work on Phase 1 is expected to take 60-90 days, weather permitting.  During this time, Lookout Road from Schertz Parkway to Jordan Road will be shut down to all non-local, non-essential traffic.  All local traffic will be asked to use Jordan Road for access to Lookout Road as no traffic will be allowed to access Lookout Road from Schertz Parkway.  Informational signage is on location to assist drivers with detour locations.
